Mr. Toofan Otaredian (1962) has been the Managing Director of Telexis BV, a telecommunications enabler and e-ticketing solutions provider, since its foundation in 1999. In this role Mr. Otaredian is responsible for the overall management of the company's three major divisions: Consultancy, Product Development and Managed Services. The focus of Mr. Otaredian's work lies in the expansion of the Telexis portfolio as well as increasing the unique know-how currently present in the company.
In addition to his responsibilities within the Telexis organization Mr. Otaredian has also been responsible for a number of strategic programs within KPN Telecom as well as the OVCP program (ticketless travelling) of Dutch Rail.
A central theme in the career of Mr. Otaredian is his ability to apply a business driven design and realization of technologies that ultimately enhance and simplify the day-to-day life of consumers. Starting his career managing the IT development department of KPN Telecom Mr. Otaredian was responsible for the operational support systems of the company's infrastructure. After spending a year as the interim director IT Systems for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Mr. Otaredian went on to become the IT director for EnerTel, an emerging player on the telecom market, for which he designed and implemented a complete new technology infrastructure.
As a student Mr. Otaredian studied at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands and successfully completed both his master of science as well as his PhD with honors.
